Bio: Detective Christopher Mock, born in Louisville, Kentucky, was a man defined by his lifelong commitment to service. After graduating from Plantation High School in 1998, he pursued his dream of protecting others, joining the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office in 2004. Over his remarkable 21-year career, he rose to the rank of Detective in the Criminal Investigation Division.

Chris was widely known within the department as an 'awesome detective,' admired for his relentless work ethic, unwavering integrity, and deep compassion.

He specialized in digital and cyber investigations, serving with dedication on the ICAC Task Force (Internet Crimes Against Children). Using his advanced digital forensics skills, Chris stood on the front lines against online predators. He dedicated his work to protecting the innocent, often telling his wife, Jennifer, that his core mission was to be a voice and advocate for the most vulnerable members of the community: our children.

While his badge was a source of great pride, Chris’s truest passion and joy was his family.

He was the beloved husband of Jennifer Mock for 20 cherished years. More than a decorated law enforcement officer, he was the very definition of a 'great father' to his two children, Jasmine and Adrian. Despite the demanding hours of his work, he was a devoted, present father who made a point of never missing a single school event.

He shared a special, sacred bond with his daughter, Jasmine, over their mutual love of fishing. He mentored his son, Adrian, through a shared passion for technology, gaming, and computers. He instilled in both children the vital lessons of honesty, kindness, and perseverance, serving as their protector, champion, and best friend.

Though he is now gone from our sight, Chris’s powerful, loving presence remains. He continues to watch over and guide Jennifer, Jasmine, and Adrian through every step of their journey, a faithful protector even in memory.

His passing is a profound loss to his family, colleagues, and the entire St. Lucie County community he so faithfully served.
